My books are never too far from the sea, but they aren’t exactly sea stories. Rather, they’re about the thin line between most of us and some rather scary people. From the dive instructor in THE LITTLE BROTHER who slowly discovers his new housemate is a psychopath, to the ex-DEA agent in THE MAYDAY hired to find two children believed lost off the coast of Rhode Island, my books involve ordinary people on a collision course with the truly dangerous among us. Three of my novels have been optioned for movies, and picked up for foreign editions in England, Germany, and the Netherlands.

“Here’s crime fiction the way it should be.”
— Kirkus Review (starred)

“The partnership and eventual passion between Jack and Sarah, and the boat’s disappearance, and the demons from the past that possess both detectives merge beautifully, creating a convincing landscape of deception and self-doubt.”
— The Washington Post

“[Bill Eidson] tells a good story, convincingly and in ONE BAD THING, chillingly. Eidson writes a tough, direct prose edged with irony, and he may well be a successor, at last, to the much-missed John D. MacDonald.”
— The Boston Globe

“Indulge yourself. ADRENALINE is a terrific read comfortably encased in some really good writing.”
— The Providence Journal

Prefer the original books?

“Good guys to root for, villains to hoot at-both sides refreshingly believable-in a story that bristles with action and deft twists of plot.”
— Publisher’s Weekly

“THE GUARDIAN is first rate stuff; lean prose, compelling story, and verve in the telling. Don’t miss it.”
— Robert B. Parker

“Bill Eidson concocts a sizzler of a story set largely upon water and under water…”
— The Los Angeles Times Book Review

“One of the joys of reviewing is the discovery of a major new talent. [Bill Eidson has] constructed a fascinating, terrifying psychological profile that ranks with the best and needs to be recognized by awards committees. Highly recommended.”
